About the piece
The composition was inspired by a poem “A Chilly Night” by Christina Georgina Rossetti. Moreover, it was inspired especially by its third verse. It expresses the atmosphere I wanted to translate into music: mystery, otherworldliness, a touch of fear, “creepiness,” tenderness, fragility, sensitivity, tension,…
